Five months playing with a child goes a long way. With cardboard, tape, laces and others, my son is capable of making very cool things, I can’t explain where he got that skill from. On occasion I even have to follow his instructions. I’m a bit like his apprentice at the design table: he tells me where to cut or paste. We had a good time.

But of course, it’s one thing to be cutting shoelaces for a few hours, a couple of days a week. And another is to do it every day at all hours during the «free» time that leaves work. I think the day I take a vacation from everything I will sleep 100 hours straight. But hey, at least I have learned to make crafts 30 years later.
