Five months playing with a child goes a long way. If they tell us that we have to spend five months working and taking care of a small child in full time of physical splendor and playfulness, it gives us a dizziness. We would say that it is impossible, that we cannot last a month. But the adaptability of a person is high, especially when it comes to the little ones.
And it is that for children, games are a very serious matter as that one said. And our son loves to play and play in company. He is still small and needs to have someone by his side, and it is also likely to be part of his character. Other people have told us that it is not so difficult to work and play, for the child to stay there with the television or the tablet or whatever he paints, but that does not suit him and neither do we.
So it’s been like going back to school, doing crafts, painting, singing, dancing and inventing a thousand games, some more inexplicable than others. This kid loves to assemble things, invent dolls and things like that. And the truth is that I do not like crafts at all, I am a bit inept, but everything is to live this time as peacefully as possible and even learn new things, right?
With cardboard, tape, laces and others, my son is capable of making very cool things, I can’t explain where he got that skill from. On occasion I even have to follow his instructions. I’m a bit like his apprentice at the design table: he tells me where to cut or paste. We had a good time.
But of course, it’s one thing to be cutting shoelaces for a few hours, a couple of days a week. And another is to do it every day at all hours during the «free» time that leaves work. I think the day I take a vacation from everything I will sleep 100 hours straight. But hey, at least I have learned to make crafts 30 years later.
